Timber bi-folding doors, either internally or externally, meet the demands of modern lifestyles for versatility, space and light combined with the beauty of a natural product. With British weather becoming increasingly unreliable, we are all keen to enjoy our gardens year round and with this system whole walls can be effortlessly swept aside in seconds to embrace the great outdoors.

Parsons Joinery can offer a range of beautiful timber door designs that are individually tailored to your requirements including fully glazed, half glazed, 2/3rd glazed or panelled and can be manufactured in softwood, hardwood or oak, depending on your budget, location and the required finish. Glazed doors are supplied with 24mm K glass double glazed units to comply with current Building Regulations and, when fitted by Parsons Joinery, will be issued with a FENSA certificate and insurance backed guarantee. Alternatively, we can supply bi-folding doors which are pre-assembled in our workshops and then flat packed for delivery or collection.

Residentially and commercially, timber bi-folding doors can provide a modern alternative to partition walls creating flexible options within the home, office or retail environment to maximise the efficient use of available space. Stacking neatly together, they can link the interior to the exterior or create flexible living or working environments allowing for privacy when closed or an open plan space when required. Incorporating bi-fold doors in restaurants, cafes and bars can create a modern, relaxed continental environment.

Practicality and versatility

We offer practicality and versatility with bi-folding systems that are top or bottom hung depending on the application, configuration and weight of the doors. Mounted on a sliding roller track the doors are available in the configurations illustrated below. Security can be assured with doors fitted with a three point espagnolette locking system and lever handles or deadlocks and flush handles. Flush bolts hold the doors in place when closed with one or more doors in operation at any one time.
